After several months of iPhone exclusivity, Spotify Running is now available to Android users.
Originally announced at a press event Spotify held in May, Spotify Running is a feature within the company’s main app. When a person starts jogging, the app will gauge their running speed and alter the tempo of whatever music they’re listening to accordingly — though according to friends that have used the feature, the app doesn’t always sync the music perfectly.
The sub-service also includes a variety of original tracks and playlists created by DJ Tiësto and the like.
According to Spotify, the update should be rolling out to users as we speak. On Monday, CEO Daniel Ek was in Toronto to talk about his company’s recent partnership with Rogers.
