Alongside the name of the next Android version, Google today released a new Android M Developer Preview.
With the final SDK version and “near-final” system images, Google reportedly delayed the release of the latest preview to ensure that it was as near to the finished product as possible. According to the company, “the updated system images bring a variety of fixes and enhancements across the system, including those related to issues reported by developers through the external issue tracker.”
Google admits there are some outstanding issues with this version, including a non-working GPS on the Nexus 9 tablet.
The Android M Developer Preview is available for the Nexus 5, 6, 9 and Player.
