The OnePlus 2 will officially be available to Canadians on August 11th, with well over 1.5 million people on its reservation list.
This second generation “flagship killer” features a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 3-4GB of RAM, fingerprint sensor, 13MP camera, and powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor (v2.1) and a 3,300mAh battery. However, if this is not your game and want something else from OnePlus, co-founder Carl Pei teased another device for later this year.
During an interview with USA today, Pei stated, “There’s going to be a second phone this year, before the end of the year. Hopefully for Christmas. It may or may not be (higher spec’d than the OnePlus 2). When I saw the prototype for that phone I was like ‘holy s— that’s going to be my daily driver’ but then when the OnePlus 2 production version came out it’s also super nice, so it’s really hard to decide now what to use. It’s going to be amazing.”
The 16GB OnePlus 2 is priced at $409 (CAD), while the 64GB version is $479 (CAD). OnePlus sold 1.5 million OnePlus Ones, with “internal targets of 3-5 million (sales) for this year,” said Pei.
