Alcatel OneTouch has found yet another carrier to carry its inexpensive 3G tablet.
The Pop 7 is now available at Virgin Mobile for $179.99. The 7-inch tablet debuted at CES earlier this year, and came to Canada on Bell alongside the Idol X smartphone in April.
It sports a 7-inch 1024×600 pixel display, a 1.3Ghz dual-core Cortex-A7 MediaTek processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of storage, which is expandable, a 2MP rear camera and VGA front camera, and basic 3G connectivity. It runs Android 4.2 out of the box.
The device is not available online, and will only be sold in certain Virgin Mobile retail outlets.
Alcatel OneTouch recently expanded its product line in Canada, launching the Idol 2 S smartphone on Bell, and the Idol X+ smartphone and Pop 8 tablet on TELUS.
The Pop 7 may be a fairly entry-level product, but 3G connectivity for $180 is a good deal any way you slice it.
