Facebook’ Slingshot, its Snapchat competitor, officially launched last week to those in the United States and it’s now available worldwide. This social sharing app allows users to quickly “sling” and share photos and videos with friends, and also gives the option to draw, add text and colour on your picture. There is a social aspect to Slingshot as the friends you are sending a “shot” can only view it when they “sling” you something back. The photo/video then disappears after it’s seen — this is supposed help users be “more expressive, raw and spontaneous.”
Slingshot is available on both Android (Jelly Bean and KitKat) and iOS (iOS 7).
