LG is making strides but these sales are paltry in comparison to S3 which is around 35 million

  • BB

LG is just usless ….they cant manufacture enough nexus 4’s but boast about selling more then 1 million units…

  • BB

This is my cup of care \_/ …..Oh look at that, it’s empty.

  • Stephie

The sales might be terrible… but it really is a fantastically made device, and I actually like it more than the S3. Too bad LG has such a terrible reputation for updates.

  • Tomatoes11

It’s a great device since they pretty much used the best parts from all of their different divisions. Unfortunately, they won’t be doing that kind of collaboration again if all they sold were 1 million Optimus G and 400k Nexus 4.

The dummies really need to stop blaming LG for the Nexus 4 shortages. The Nexus 10 is out of stock for just as long as the Nexus 4 and everyone and their grandma knows that Samsung doesn’t under produce anything. I’ll let the geniuses blaming LG piece that together and connect the dots.

    • Comment Master

Lg optimus G was released a month before Nexus… and LG sold 1 million optimuses and they are still in stock..while LG only sold 400k nexus and out of stock..so you better think and then comment !!!!!

  • Brad F(anboy)

Aw, that’s so cute! LG still thinks it can make it in the phone market…

  • trevor

    they can and they will!

  • Haythem

So that also means that another million smartphone buyers will cross off LG from their list when buying their next smartphone.

    Well done LG, well done.

@comment master. Your reply doesn’t make any sense so you should take your own advice

Actually Comment Master’s comment makes perfect sense. Its probably a financial/political thing with LG and Samsung. If the Nexus 7 is anything to go by then LG and Samsung are just breaking even on their nexus devices. So mass producing a Nexus over their respective cash cow devices doesn’t make much sense for them.

  • mike

Bought a nexus 4 and I am really happy with the build quality of the phone. They have to have a consistent run of good phones to change their long term image though.

  • steve

so thats the reason there are no nexus’s… they blueballed google into thinking they would push their hardware and not their own… i guess alot of people wont be working with LG again… ride the wave while you can LG!

  • Kyle

I got the Optimus G a week ago, and love it. How many people here complain about LG and have never actually picked up an Optimus G??

    • Piff

I had a Optimus 2x on Wind and it was a laggy device with a well below average camera at the time and no updates. There is no point in producing Android devices if your not going to update them.

  • Jimbo

You can name every phone that was released in NA in the last year and I probably have owned it (or at least the top phones). The LG Optimus G is one of the best phones I have used!! Better than the Nexus 4, Motorola Razr HD LTE, better or as good as S3 etc…

I was not a fan of LG but they got this one right.

  • Fartknocker

Pretty bad for an all glass phone actually, they usually sell WAY more than that. 🙂

don’t be dense like him. Read my post again. His reply had absolutely nothing to do with what I said.

I said that LG chemical, LG display, LG phone, LG innotek will not cross collaborate again and go all out with all that effort only ended up in 1 million LG Optimus Gs sales and 400k Nexus 4 sales.

What does that have to do with anything you monkeys said in your replies?! Lol

    • Darknut

They will. guaranteed. They turned a profit either way, and the Nexus 4 and Optimus G were their best high end smartphone efforts to date. Im almost 100% sure they will continue to collaborate, to make amazing phones 🙂

  • tomatoes11

Your replies don’t even apply to the last part of my reply. Are kids that dense these days that they lack simple reading comprehension and context skills? Lol

  • Darknut

It doesnt really matter that they sold less than the S3, they turned a profit, and quality wise it is one of the best devices on the market. I would say even the best in terms of overall package. (The Optimus G & the Nexus 4 both, depending on preference). LG will continue to make high end phones in this vein, and they will keep putting out superior, under appreciated products. 🙂 Your loss if you choose an S3 over an Optimus G or a Nexus 4.
