On Wednesday, OnePlus announced its newest smartphone, the OnePlus 6.
While consumers in most markets have the option between three different colours — mirror black, midnight black and silk white — OnePlus fans in China have a slightly tougher choice ahead of them.
In addition to the three standard colours the company plans to sell the OP6 in markets like Canada, OnePlus announced it will sell a Marvel-themed Avengers: Infinity War special edition OnePlus 6 smartphone in China.
Internally, the special edition OnePlus 6 is the same as the device OnePlus plans to sell in other markets — though it’s only available with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. On the outside, however, it features a kevlar-patterned back with golden OnePlus and Avengers logos. It also ships with a pretty cool Iron Man case, Avengers medallion and exclusive wallpaper.
While it’s unlikely we’ll see OnePlus release anything Marvel-themed outside of China and India, the company could repurpose the phone’s design for a new limited-run device in North America, just like it did when it announced the sandstone white OnePlus 5T.
