Motorola may hop on the wide foldable train

Following the iPhone Duo reveal, Motorola teased what appears to be its own passport-style foldable

It looks like Motorola didn’t want to feel left out by the iPhone Duo, as it has teased a new wide foldable phone.

Motorola posted the tease on social media, showing off the history of the Motorola Razr, including the most recent Razr Fold, before ending with the disguised device.

Further adding to the evidence that this is an upcoming device, Motorola captioned the video with “Just wait for our next move. 👀”

The device appears only in silhouette, but it looks like a wider, passport-style foldable similar to the recently released Apple iPhone Duo.

This could also be a very well-played dig at Apple. The video is captioned with “New in their hands, Iconic in ours,” alongside the phrase “that feeling when you hang up, and your razr says everything you didn’t😏,” Alongside another phrase noting that “Some are just discovering it. We’ve just been making it even better.”

Motorola isn’t alone in taking digs at Apple for being late to the modern foldable phone game; Samsung posted to X following the September Apple event saying, “Let us know when you’re done reheating our leftovers 😉.”

It also shared a litany of posts with the hashtag “ItsTimeToSwitch,” which included tagging the language learning app Duolingo in one post that referenced the iPhone Duo’s name.

If this is a device tease (and not just some dig at Apple),  I’m very excited to see what the company does with the wide foldable style.
