The Legend of Zelda‘s 40th anniversary concert is officially coming to Canada.
The tour was announced during the Zelda Nintendo Direct earlier this month, but at the time, Canadian dates weren’t listed. Now, we know that Canada, thankfully, isn’t getting left out.
Per the official concert website, the tour will come to Toronto’s Roy Thomson Hall on Oct. 21 and 22, 2027. Notably, these are the very last dates of the tour, at least at the time of writing. Unfortunately, Toronto is the only Canadian city listed, although the website mentions that additional cities may be announced in the future. (Ironically, Nintendo of Canada is based in Burnaby, B.C., with their sole Canadian studio, Luigi’s Mansion developer Next Level Games, being in Vancouver.)
It should also be noted that tickets are set to go live in several cities on Sept. 30, but the two Toronto shows still just state “on sale TBA.” We’ll update this story once that changes.
The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Concert is the series’ first official global concert tour since The Legend of Zelda Symphony of the Goddess, which ran from 2012 to 2017. That said, Nintendo did publish a sweet 30-minute orchestra performance on YouTube in 2024.
Given how much incredible music is featured in the Zelda series, this concert should be a real treat for fans. Of course, this is just one way that Nintendo is celebrating the big 40th anniversary milestone. Outside of that, the company also has a remake of Ocarina of Time coming on Nov. 5, a special edition Zelda-themed Switch 2 console coming the week prior and the live-action Zelda movie hitting theatres on April 30, 2027.
