Bell has been notifying some customers that their mobile plans are going up in price later this year.
On the Bell Subreddit, original poster Primary-Pea6986 said that both they and their girlfriend received bills from Bell stating that their monthly rates will increase by $6 in October.

The bill notice reads as follows:
“Important update: Starting on your October 2026 Mobility bill date, the price of your monthly rate plan will increase by $6/month. You can access your Bell Mobility agreement or manage your account at any time by using the MyBell app or online at bell.ca/mybell. If you would like to add to, cancel without penalty or modify your plan in accordance with your agreement, please call 1-800-667-0123.”
Notably, some Bell customers had their prices go up in July, which a few of the Reddit commenters even referenced in the thread.
All of this is to say: if you’re with Bell, you might want to double-check your latest bill to see if your monthly charges are set to rise.
Notably, Bell isn’t the only carrier raising rates. In June, we reported on wireless price increases hitting Rogers and Fido customers, which spurred a probe from the CRTC.
Speaking of, the CRTC just granted Bell and other wireless carriers the ability to lock phones after banning the practice nearly a decade ago.
Bell and Telus claimed that selling unlocked phones increased theft and fraud, and both asked the commission to allow phone locking for 60 days after purchase. The CRTC temporarily allowed carriers to lock phones for up to two business days while it looks into the matter.
