Microsoft’s partnership with Amazon is expanding further, as it has been announced that Xbox Cloud Gaming will come to the latter’s line of smart TVs.

Specifically, the newest models of the Fire TV 4-Series and the Fire TV Omni QLED Series now feature the Xbox app built in, with additional models set to get the app in the future. This now gives FireTV users more access to Microsoft’s vast video game catalogue while also avoiding clogging up other outlets or HDMI ports with Game Pass.

If you have a compatible Fire TV smart TV, you can download the Xbox app from Amazon’s dedicated app store. Once installed, you will be prompted to sign in using your Microsoft account.

Compared to when it was first announced for Fire TV sticks back in Jun., Game Pass Premium and Game Pass Essential subscribers now have access to the service through their Amazon devices. Plans start at $13.99/mo.

Just a note- you also need a compatible Bluetooth controller. The Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, DualSense, or DualShock 4 all work perfectly fine according to Amazon.

With this service, you can now access and stream a variety of games to your Fire TV smart TV, such as The Outer Worlds 2, Call of Duty Black Ops 7, FC 25, Gears of War Reloaded, and Grounded 2.
