Apple hiked the price of its TV streaming subscription in Canada and other regions.
In Canada, Apple TV+ now costs $14.99/mo, up from $12.99. However, other ways to pay for Apple TV+, such as bundling it through Apple’s ‘One’ subscription, remain unchanged (for now).
In a statement to 9to5Mac about the price hike, Apple said it expanded its library of original content on Apple TV+ and pointed to its One subscription as the “best value” option for getting the company’s various subscription offerings.
At the time of writing, other Apple subscriptions like Arcade and News+ hadn’t yet seen a price increase.
Apple last hiked the price of Apple TV+ in 2023 alongside a general increase of its various subscription services. At the time, Apple TV+ increased from $8.99 to $12.99.
The Apple TV+ price increase comes amid other streaming price hikes in Canada. Netflix hiked prices in Canada back in January, while both Spotify and Disney+ raised prices in October 2024.
