Nintendo has unveiled a new Switch 2 bundle centred around Pokémon Legends Z-A.
Launching worldwide on October 16, the same date as Legends Z-A, the bundle includes a standard Switch 2 console (no special themed design) and a digital copy of the game. This will retail for $699.99, the same price as the Mario Kart World Switch 2 bundle that debuted last month.

It’s worth noting that the base Switch 2 costs $629.99 while Legends Z-A is priced at $99.99, so you’d be saving $30 through this bundle as opposed to buying both separately. For context, Nintendo has started charging more for games on Switch 2, with Legends Z-A‘s pricing being the same as Donkey Kong Bananza. Mario Kart World, meanwhile, costs $109.99.
It’s important to note, however, that Pokémon Legends Z-A will be available on both Switch and Switch 2, unlike Bananza and World. That said, the latter version will feature technical enhancements like improved performance, enhanced resolution and smoother frame rates. Given the infamously buggy state of the last mainline Pokémon games, 2022’s Scarlet and Violet, it’s unclear how much worse Legends Z-A will run on Switch versus Switch 2.
The Legends Z-A Switch 2 bundle was announced alongside a Pokémon Presents stream. During the presentation, more gameplay from Legends Z-A was shown off, while a new puzzle game, Pokémon Friends, was surprise-launched on mobile and Switch today. Other reveals include a fresh look at Pokémon Champions, a new strategy game for mobile and Switch, a Pokémon animated series from Wallace & Gromit maker Aardman and new cards for Pokémon TCG Pocket.
