Tesla robot arrives at Chinese robotics expo and does nothing

The Tesla bot stood in a glass case while other robots did actual robot things around it

The World Robot Conference in Beijing showed off all kinds of incredible robots while the Tesla bot sat quietly in a glass display case, not moving.

Reports from the show floor talk about ambitious robotics that can play music, fold laundry, stock store shelves and more. According to Gizmodo, one bot even participated in martial arts demonstrations and wrote traditional calligraphy

During all this, Tesla’s humanoid robot stood unmoving in a glass case. The first time we saw this robot, it was a person in a suit. The second time, it was being operated remotely, and now it’s not moving at all.

Musk says that the robot will be used in Tesla factories in 2025 and will be ready for use in other companies’ factories in 2026. However, he has been known as a notorious liar, so I wouldn’t expect any insane advances from the Tesla bot any time soon.

If you’re wondering what he’s lied about before, look into the Tesla robot taxis and full self-driving hardware.
