In advance of the company’s annual I/O developer’s conference, the Mountain View, California search giant Google has announced a rebrand of its Google Research division
Dubbed ‘Google AI,’ the company says that the rebrand is part an effort to better reflect Google’s commitment to “make AI available for everyone.”
The Google AI channels will continue to showcase the breadth of Google research, innovation and publications, in addition to a lot more new and exciting content to come,” said Christian Howard, editor-in-chief of Google AI Communications, in a May 7th, 2018 blog post. “
All information published to the research.google.com website will remain there. Additionally, any links to previously published content will continue to redirect to the appropriate sources.
However, all Google Research channels, blogs, affilitated Twitter and Google+ accounts will be rebranded to match the Google AI style.
