Google has stopped accepting Android N name suggestions through the dedicated site it launched during the company’s annual I/O conference, and announced on Twitter that it will reveal the name “in a few weeks.”
“Thanks for all your name submissions,” reads the site’s copy, “We’re poring over the submissions and will announce the name of Android N soon.”
Google’s newest operating system version is currently on its third developer preview, and brings with it split-screen multi-tasking, a new notification system and seamless updates that will only be available for upcoming phones preloaded with Android N.
Internally, the version went by the name New York Cheesecake, following the tradition of a three-word codename used with previous versions.
Along with the announcement, Google released another video in a series of comedic shorts focused on fictional company “Professional Naming, Inc.”
