Set to go down this Thursday evening at 9 p.m. Eastern (on YouTube and Twitch, as well as a host of other game consoles, streaming platforms and gaming-focused websites), the Game Awards are an annual celebration of the video game industry, though most interested in the hobby tune in to catch event exclusive trailers for games that have yet to be released.
It’s unclear what Luckey’s announcement will entail. It’s possible he will reveal the release date of the consumer version of the Oculus Rift.
