Rogers recently announced plans to release the LTE version of the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.
Rogers and Sony Canada did not indicate a release date for the tablet beyond saying that it would be available in December. However, according to an internal doc we received, Rogers is poised to squeeze this tablet into its lineup right before the end of the month, just in time for the new year. The doc states, “Please note that this device cannot be sold/activated until the official marketing launch date of December 30th.”
The cost for the 16GB waterproof and dust proof tablet is $549.99 outright and the device will come with an 8-inch full HD Triluminos display (1920×1200 resolution), a 2.5Ghz Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, and an 8MP camera. It runsAndroid 4.4 KitKat. Other than the PS4 Remote Play capabilities, Sony has designed a tablet that is incredibly thin at 6.4-inches and squeeze in a 4,500mAh battery.
