The second BlackBerry 10 powered smartphone to come to market will be the QWERTY/Touch BlackBerry Q10. We’ve had some hands-on time with this gem when the company officially unveiled it back on January 30th.
A new video has popped up online that gives a good overview of the Q10 hardware, nothing really new, but good to see this pre-release device is “made in Canada.” The back battery cover is the carbon fibre design and recently there’s been images of a rubberized version. No word which one will be available at launch, possibly both. This specific Q10 has a 1800mAh battery (NS1), but there’s also speculation that we’ll see it sport a 2100mAh battery. In addition, missing from the demo was the OS version but there was OS v10.0.10.98 available to download.
Additional specs of the Q10 have it coming with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 3.1-inch display (720×720), 8MP camera and a 2MP front-facing camera, 2GB RAM, NFC and is LTE-enabled. Some customers are passing on the all-touch BlackBerry Z10 and waiting for this “iconic” BlackBerry to launch – which is now expected in April. Check out this video below:
