TELUS puts Caller ID and Voicemail into Clear Choice Voice plans

TELUS came out with a promo last month that gave free caller ID and voicemail. According to an internal doc we’ve received shows them making this a permanent feature to those in BC, AB, ON, QC. The new plans go into place today and there’s a few changes, such in the price. Previously TELUS offered a $25, $30, $35, $40, $45 and $50/month plan, now the prices have increased by $5, but include the Caller ID feature. So the new plans are priced $25, $35, $40, $45, $50 and $55/month, but you save a bit of money as the combined saving with the Caller ID and Voicemail is a net savings of $3.

Here’s the breakdown:

Voice 25 ($25/month):
Local Anytime Minutes – Up to 50
Nationwide Family Calling – unlimited
Local Night and Weekend Minutes Included – unlimited 9pm
Calling Features Included – Caller ID, Voice Mail 3, Call Waiting, and Conference Calling
Clear Choice Options – various features such as unlimited outgoing/incoming text, picture and video messaging, double anytime minutes.

Voice 35 ($35/month):
Local Anytime Minutes – Up to 150
Nationwide Family Calling – unlimited
Local Night and Weekend Minutes Included – unlimited until 9pm
Calling Features Included – Caller ID, Voice Mail 3, Call Waiting, and Conference Calling
Clear Choice Options – various features such as unlimited outgoing/incoming text, picture and video messaging, double anytime minutes.

Voice 40 ($40/month):
Local Anytime Minutes – Up to 200
Nationwide Family Calling – unlimited

In addition, we understand that the text packages have also changed. The $5 package for 200 outgoing texts, and the $10 package for 2,000 outgoing text have been replaced by a standard $6 for 300 outgoing texts. TELUS still has the $15/month Unlimited Text plan available.
