Is Motorola’s first Intel Medfield-based Android device called the RAZR Blade?

Earlier this year we told you about an upcoming Motorola Android device that would be one of the first to market with Intel’s x86-based Medfield SoC, optimized for Ice Cream Sandwich. A recent leak from PhoneHK would seem to corroborate at least the existence of such a device, since the front does not seem to carry any capacitive touch buttons like the original RAZR.

Other than that difference, and a slight curvature of the edges, this leaked device looks very similar to the RAZR, released by Rogers late last year. It doesn’t look to be quite as lithe as 7.7mm, but from the back and side shots you can see that Motorola is trying to compromise between design and battery size.

Rumour has it that Motorola is looking to call this the RAZR Blade, which would be a very cool name. We aren’t sure when this device will be released, but we’ll let you know more as soon as it comes in. A couple more photos after the break.
