X by Xreal, the company’s more affordable sub-brand, has made its A01+ AR glasses available in Canada.
The A01+ glasses are designed to work with phones, laptops and handheld consoles without sacrificing picture quality. The device weighs 62g, and the glasses use dual-layer Micro-OLED displays capable of up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness with HDR10 support and real-time SDR-to-HDR conversion.
The glasses also sport a custom display chip, and Xreal ARView Image Engine drives a 120Hz refresh rate, while also offering a stabilization algorithm that tracks micro-movements and keeps the picture steady in motion.
The virtual screen is equivalent to 147 inches at 4 meters, and you can game at a 50-degree FoV and a 120Hz refresh rate.
What’s cool about the A01+ is that it doesn’t have a built-in camera and keeps the glasses lighter and better for privacy. You can get the X by Xreal A01+ for $429 to start, and $499 when the initial sale ends.
I can’t wait to plug this into my iPhone so I can play Pokémon Champions on the virtual big screen.
