Google just dropped a special edition of the Pixel 10a in a new “Isai Blue” colour to commemorate 10 years of the Google Pixel.
This is the fifth colour to be added to the lineup and was created in collaboration with Heralbony, an experimental music label. The new phone colour is only available in Japan and won’t be added to any other market globally.
According to Google, the meaning of this collaboration is due to a shared philosophy of celebrating individuality and diversity. Google Pixel product manager Pablo Ocampo says the importance of having a phone that is “more than just tools” was the reason he was excited for this collaboration.
The Isai Blue release marks the first time a Pixel colour has been given a Japanese name. Artists included in the collaboration include Mizakami Shigaku, Midori Kudo, Iga Kaoru, and Nazomi Fujita.
The exclusive edition of the Pixel 10a comes with special Material You customizations, with icon packs and exclusive wallpapers. Buyers of the phone will also receive a sticker pack in the package with letters and symbols inspired by the Google Pixel.
