Ubisoft launches The Division Resurgence on mobile

It's a brand-new standalone campaign and suite of multiplayer content set between the events of the first two games

The Division Resurgence

Ubisoft has launched The Division Resurgence on Android and iOS around the world.

Set between the events of The Division and The Division 2, the free-to-play third-person RPG shooter features mobile-optimized controls and a standalone campaign set in a new urban open world. As a newly activated Division agent during the Green Poison outbreak in NYC, you and up to three other agents must work to repel hostile factions and restore stability to the city.

The game was developed by a global team led by Ubisoft Da Nang, Ubisoft Singapore, and Ubisoft Reflections, with assistance from other studios like Montreal and Sherbrooke. The developers promise an extensive RPG progression system featuring special weapons and gadgets, gear and weapon customization, swappable character roles and more. The Division‘s signature PvPvE Dark Zone will also be included.

Resurgence is the first game in The Division series since 2019’s The Division 2. A spin-off titled The Division Heartland was once in development but was cancelled in 2024. In addition to Resurgence, Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment, the developer of the mainline Division games, is currently working on The Division 3.
