The big annual Xbox Games Showcase will return on Sunday, June 7 at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT.
In a blog post, Xbox confirmed that the event will feature “first gameplay looks and huge news” on first-party titles, as well as third-party AAA and indie studios. Some of the games likely to be featured include the next Fable, Clockwork Revolution, and Halo: Campaign Evolved. (The highly anticipated Forza Horizon 6 releases in May, so it will already be out by the time of the showcase.) It also remains to be seen what, if anything, Xbox might tease about its upcoming next-gen console, codenamed Project Helix.
And immediately following the showcase, Xbox will host a Gears of War E-Day Direct presentation, offering a deep dive into the third-person shooter directly from Vancouver-based developer The Coalition. Since E-Day was revealed two years ago, we haven’t actually seen any gameplay from E-Day yet, with The Coalition simply confirming that it follows fan-favourites Marcus and Dom in a story set before the original game.
Notably, 2026 also marks the 20th anniversary of the Gears of War series, and E-Day is expected to drop within the next several months as part of that. Meanwhile, this year also marks the 25th anniversary of Xbox as a whole, so expect these presentations to lean into those milestone celebrations.
As always, Xbox will stream these showcases on its YouTube and Twitch channels.
