Crunchyroll is getting a price increase in various global markets, including Canada.

On Monday, the Sony-owned anime streamer confirmed that the cost of all of its tiers are going up. While the blog post only mentioned U.S. pricing, MobileSyrup has confirmed that the new Canadian pricing will be as follows:

  • Fan (monthly) — $10.99 (previously $9.99)
    Fan (annual) — $109.99 (previously $99.99)
  • Mega Fan (monthly) — $13.49 (previously $12.49)
  • Mega Fan (annual) — $134.99 (previously $124.99)

The new prices are effective as of Feb. 2 for new subscribers, while existing members will be effected as of their next billing date after March 4, 2026.

Crunchyroll notes that this is the first price hike in Canada since 2022, although it comes shortly after the streamer ended its free plan. To “ease” existing subscribers into the new pricing, the streamer says it’s also running a promotion to upgrade to an annual plan. For a limited time, Canadians can sign up for the Fan Annual plan for $82.99, which works out to $6.91/month when paid annually.

Finally, the streamer also noted that its Ultimate Fan tier, which is currently available in the U.S., will “soon” launch in Canada. Ultimate includes everything in the previous tiers as well as access to hundreds of manga titles, 15 per cent off select Crunchyroll Store products, an exclusive swag bag after 12 consecutive months of subscription and more.
