Apple has finally introduced the long-awaited iPhone Air. After months of leaks we’re officially learning about the iPhone Air.
The phone features a 6.5-inch ProMotion display, up to 120Hz with 3,000 nits of brightness. The new Ceramic Shield is now on the back of the phone, making it four times resistant to cracks than previous iPhones. Apple said that it’s more durable than any other iPhone available. It seems like Apple squeezed a lot under the camera bump to provide more space for the battery in the body of the handset.

The iPhone Air features the A19 Pro chipset, which is the most powerful processor the company has ever released. The phone also offers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6 and Thread connectivity. The new C1X modem is also available in the Air, and is faster and more efficient than the iPhone 16 Pro. Apple said, in fact, the iPhone Air is the most power-efficient iPhone ever. It’s also eSIM only globally, so it can fit more into the handset, such as the all-day battery. There’s also new software that’s designed to help with battery usage. There’s also a new MagSafe battery accessory that can provide up to 48 hours of battery life when paired with the handset.
The handset also offers a 48-megapixel ‘Fusion’ camera, with a 2x telephoto capability via sensor cropping. It sports an f/1.6 aperture and a large sensor to capture light. The front has the new 18-megapixel Center Stage camera, which is also available on the iPhone 17. It also lets users take videos on both the front and back cameras at the same time.
The handset comes in Space Black, Light White, Sky Blue, Gold. The iPhone Air starts at $1,449 and starts at 256GB of storage.
