Telus and OpenText launch new AI cloud for Canadian companies

OpenText, the global information management software for business, has launched a new suite of AI tools that are running on Telus’ AI data centres. One of the tools being highlighted is Aviator AI, which allows companies to use AI-powered search and summarize tools within their own private cloud.

This is important to Canadian business since it means that they can use these modern digital tools while still being able to store their data in Canada. The Telus data centres involved in this project are in Rimouski, Que., and Kamloops, B.C.

Telus started outfitting these data centres with AI capable hardware in the spring of this year with the intention of building an AI data centre for Canadian data.

The new OpenText tools for Canadians will be available in September, according to the company’s press release. You will need to reach out to company to get access to them.
