Lyft, King’s Trust Canada offering free ride credits to youth

Lyft has teamed up with King’s Trust Canada to launch a program offering youth in Canada free rideshare credits to help them pursue meaningful employment opportunities, such as interviews, training, and networking events.

This program responds to Mayor Olivia Chow’s summer safety plan and the growing youth unemployment rate by removing one of the biggest barriers to employment: transportation.

King’s Trust Canada is a national charity founded by King Charles III that helps young Canadians facing barriers get more employment opportunities by offering free skills training, work experience, and networking opportunities. This partnership with Lyft is now another way for them to support young Canadians searching for employment.

This program is available across Canada in areas where King’s Trust delivers programming and Lyft operates, but it mainly focuses on Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.

Youth interested in this program can contact King’s Trust to access their Lyft ride credits.
