Vancouver-based national telecom Telus tweaked several plans and also launched a Lunar New Year deal similar to a plan from Bell (though Bell’s plan isn’t necessarily titled a Lunar New Year deal).
Here are the latest Telus plans, with the tweaked or new plans highlighted (all prices include a $5/mo autopay discount):
- $88/188GB Canada/U.S./Mexico 5G+ (2Gbps speed cap) – Lunar New Year deal.
- $95/200GB Canada/U.S./Mexico 5G+ (2Gbps speed cap).
- $90/200GB Canada/U.S./Mexico 5G+ (2Gbps speed cap) – BYOP only.
- $85/150GB Canada/U.S./Mexico 5G+ (1Gbps speed cap).
- $80/150GB Canada/U.S./Mexico 5G+ (1Gbps speed cap) – BYOP only.
- $75/125GB 5G+ (1Gbps speed cap) – previously $70/75GB.
- $65/100GB 5G+ (1Gbps speed cap) – BYOP only.
- $60/100GB 5G+ (1Gbps speed cap) – BYOP only.
- $35/mo talk and text.
Telus has expanded its plan offerings since we detailed its post-Boxing Week plans earlier this month. Aside from the $88/188GB Lunar New Year deal, notable changes include the addition of discounted plans for bring-your-own phone (BYOP) customers and the return of sub-$70 plans.
It’s also odd to see nearly identical 100GB plans priced at $60 and $65. The only difference I can spot between these plans is that the $65 one is eligible for Telus’ home internet bundle, which discounts the price by $15/mo to $50. (I supposed offering home internet customers a $45/100GB plan would be too good of a deal for Telus.)
