Videotron’s Fizz Mobile announced another expansion of its wireless service area, covering new areas in northeastern Ontario.
In a press release shared with MobileSyrup, Fizz said it now covers Petawawa, Pembroke, Laurentian Valley, Renfrew, Deep River, Whitewater Region and Bonnechere Valley. Additionally, Fizz expanded east of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) into Cobourg, Port Hope, Hamilton Township, Cramahe and Alnwick/Haldimand.
Fizz says that, in total, over 160,000 residents in the above communities can now join its network. The company suggested that any interested customers head to its website and check its interactive map to see if they fall in the expanded service area.
This expansion is only the latest for Fizz, which has been steadily growing its network over the last several months. Most recently, Fizz expanded service areas in five provinces and, over the last year, moved into B.C., Alberta, and Manitoba.
