Xbox has revealed September’s second batch of new Xbox Game Pass titles.
Admittedly, this lineup is a bit smaller than usual, but there are a few notable day one releases. In particular, Frostpunk 2 just got solid reviews from a variety of outlets ahead of its launch.
Here’s the full list of new Game Pass games for the second half of the month:
- Wargroove 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC) — September 19th [Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass]
- Frostpunk 2 (PC) — September 20th [Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass]
- Ara: History Untold (PC) — September 24th [Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass]
Note that Xbox is starting to explicitly state which Game Pass tiers titles are included in after it recently overhauled the service with an increased price and new ‘Standard’ membership option.
It’s also worth mentioning that the Expansion Pass for Persona 3 Reload, which includes the Episode Aigis DLC that launched on September 10th, is also included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Further, Game Pass members in all tiers can save 10 percent on the Starfield: Shattered Space expansion, which launches on September 30th.
Finally, here’s what’s leaving Game Pass on September 30th:
- Gotham Knights (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Let’s Build a Zoo (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Loop Hero (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- My Time At Portia (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- PAW Patrol Grand Prix (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Pheonix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season (PC)
- The Walking Dead: Season Two (PC)
- Valheim (Cloud, Console, and PC)
As always, Game Pass members can buy any game in the catalogue with an exclusive 20 percent discount to keep playing even after they’re removed from the service.
A standard Xbox Game Pass subscription for PC costs $14.99/month, while Game Pass Ultimate — which includes Game Pass for both Console and PC, online play, EA Play, and Xbox Cloud Gaming — is priced at $22.99/month. Meanwhile, Game Pass Core is priced at $11.99/month but only includes access to online multiplayer and around 25 games, not the full Game Pass catalogue. Finally, Game Pass Standard, which is priced at $16.99/month, offers hundreds of games (but not day one titles) and online multiplayer.
All of these subscriptions can be viewed on Xbox’s website.
