Google Canada promotes Pixel 2 XL availability on its homepage

Google usually keeps its front page clean with a clear focus on search and its logo. It’s a rare sight in Canada to see an ad on Google’s homepage, but on the off chance it’s usually for an election or to help donate to charity.

Today, following the release of the Pixel 2 XL in Canada, Google has highlighted the 6.0-inch Oreo-powered device, noting that Canadians can now “Meet the new Google Pixel 2 XL. Now in stock.” The link redirects to the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 landing page, which can immediately be purchased. However, it seems that the only model currently available is the 64GB Just Black for $1,159 CAD, while all others appear to be out of stock.

The flagship Android is also available in Canada from Bell, Telus, Rogers, Virgin, Koodo, Fido, Videotron and Freedom Mobile. In addition, if you’re interested in buying the new Pixel devices you can also visit select retailers such as Best Buy, Tbooth Wireless, Wireless Wave, The Source, and Walmart.
