Poll: Which smartphone brand is your favourite?

    Pretty ridiculous poll.

    • Marshall Davidson

Agree. Just more page filler here. Some of the same stories have been on the header here for over w eek.

    • Can’t Fix Stupid

The front page of this site is unusable at this point. They really should go back to the less cluttered and more organized version 2 iterations ago.

There would be ZERO complaints if they did that.

  • Ethan Kwan

    Umm HTC?

  • h2oflyer

What’s missing is why we like a brand…..that would be interesting

  • willy

To bad you can’t pick multiple phones, as I will pick which is the best for me at my time of purchase .
Have picked different brand names ,some more then others but still more than only one…. Just a thought .

  • smallmj

Missing option: The manufacturer that sells well priced lower-mid range phones running stock Android that provides timely updates for 2-3 years after release. Anyone have any idea who that could be? Yeah, me neither.

There was hope for Motorola until they got bought by Lenovo. Then they gave up on being consumer friendly.

    • Elky64

Stock Android would be nice but doubt that will happen anytime soon – Goggle probably has a patent on it LOL.

As for “well priced”, we are talking Canada after all.

Yup updates are a stickler for me especially if forking over $900 or more. There’s no guarantee you’ll get them, and in a timely manner. When one’s paying in the range of a decently spec’d computer it just seems ludicrous.

  • Elky64

Don’t look at “brand” per se but what it can do for me at any given time. We’re also refusing to pay today’s over-inflated prices (flagships) so some no longer are even a consideration.

    • Can’t Fix Stupid

This. Personally I’d be picking up an LG G6 used right now but they got rid of the IR blaster. So I’m just gonna stick with my G4. Doesn’t cost me anything and I’m not looking to upgrade to lose features.

  • bdap

What if I don’t have a ‘favourite’ and just pick whatever I like at the time when I change phones?

  • craig0r

    Poor HTC. 🙁

    • XY

i’ve always enjoyed the look of the HTC especially their recent models

  • Thomas C. Riddell

use to be google to Pixel made them too much money
    Still Rocking a Nexus 6

It was BlackBerry until they went to Android. I tried a OnePlus One but just couldn’t stomach it. So went to Apple and am very happy with it. It does everything and more that I need/want in a pocket computer.

    • Sighmonsez

      What more?

    • Ann-Louise Winter

Every day I use it to pay for items and food, parking, as well as store tickets to events, etc in its Wallet. I do banking, online purchases send money to friends and family via e-transfer.
Photography is huge for me and I use the 8 plus’s camera set to take great shots of nature and people.
Communication is also a big deal for me so I use BBM, iMessage, Skype and Telegram to keep in touch with my friends and family around the world.

    • Can’t Fix Stupid

I guess it’s sorta like dipping your toes in technology but not too much. Baby steps.

    • Ann-Louise Winter

Maybe for Android yes. I’ve only tried Samsung and OnePlus One for that OS and neither appealed to me. I even rooted the OnePlus One and used it for 6 months but it was a big meh. For BlackBerry I’ve used many devices and for Apple I’ve had three now so for those I’m confident in offering an informed opinion.

  • Sighmonsez

Blackberry always wins these contests because it has the best fans. Of course Blackberry sells the least.

    • Elky64

Hmm interesting. And I just bought a BB 🙂

  • Erin Steadman

Should be an option for actual Blackberry lol. Passport still the best phone ever

  • MoYeung

People believed Trump when he said the system is rigged because in so many ways, it’s true.

    Now this poll is rigged.
