No need for me to get on the waiting list as my new device purchase came with a headphone jack – no extra charging required. As long as some manufactures still keep offering the jack I won’t be buying into this new fad.

I use bluetooth not because it’s a fad, but because it is a convenience. Working out or travelling with them is much easier, especially in the winter with a big jacket on, wires get in the way. Wireless provides freedom especially as the sound quality has advanced to the point where they are more than serviceable.

Oh I agree with you on the convenience part as I like that too. But at the end of the day what’s my go-to, the wired headset because there no muss no fuss and they’re usually guaranteed to work each and every time. Got to remember we had these abilities before but now the manufactures are making it so we require a special dongle to use wired. Not to mention with some, the ability to charge at same time is negated or, we require another “special” dongle to achieve that feat.

Soon we won’t have “choice” as is already being seen w/non-removable batteries, phones that requires a rocket scientist along with loads of $$$ to fix, FM Radios they choose not to enable because they can’t charge us for it (need a wired headset to use), non-expandable storage so we are forced to to pay that higher premium to elevate running out of space, and so on.

Also, don’t smash them with a hammer. Don’t drive over them. Please don’t light them on fire. We advise against swallowing them. Drilling the ear pieces may affect sound quality. Placing product inside of lit barbecue will void warranty. Not intended for use inside of toasters.
