Telus-owned Public Mobile is currently offering a limited-time referral bonus in which both parties of the transaction get a 1GB data add-on.
Until November 20th, both the person who refers a new customer and the new customer get a 1GB one-time data add-on, with 3G or 4G speeds dependent on the plan type.
Public states in a post on its community forums that the add-ons do not expire and any remaining data in a user’s add-ons will continue to roll over until used up.
The prepaid carrier also notes that customers can refer up to five people and receive five one-time 1GB add-ons.
This stacks with Public’s pre-existing referral bonus, which gives customers a credit of $1 per month for as long as the customer they referred stays with Public Mobile.
To take advantage of this promotion, those who were referred must activate a Public Mobile SIM card online on a 30 or 90-day plan and enter their friend’s Public Mobile phone number.
The only customers who won’t be able to get a free 1GB add-on through this promo are legacy customers, though the customers they refer are still eligible to nab the bonus.
