Apple Music has arrived on Sonos speakers.
Rolling out initially to anyone who signed up to beta test the functionality when it was first announced back on November 30th, Sonos plans to roll out Apple Music support to all of its users in early 2016. In the meantime, Sonos has launched a public beta, allowing early adopters to opt in to the functionality.
Using Apple Music on Sonos is very similar to how the app works with Spotify or Rdio (RIP). Using the Sonos Controller app, the user can access the vast majority of Apple Music’s functionality, including the For You playlists and Beats 1 Radio.
The Sonos controller app is available on Android, iOS, as well on Windows and OS X via a downloadable desktop app. You’ll also need one of Sonos’ excellent, though expensive, speakers.
If you get a chance to check out the functionality, tell us about the experience in the comments section below.
