Winner announced in our win a Sphero SPRK contest [courtesy of Telus]

Update: This contest is now closed. We are happy to announce that Griz in the comments is taking this prize home, who he states will give it to his wife to use in her classroom. Congrats! No worries if this is not you as we have our massive holiday contest on now!

____

We have one beautiful looking Sphero SPRK Edition robotic ball up for grabs, and it can be yours to race around your home or office!

Following up on the original Sphero 2.0, the SPRK Edition is similar to a R/C car. The fun part is that it is controlled via an Android or iOS app.

The SPRK name is an acronym for Schools Parents Robots Kids and ii part of Sphero’s educational program to bring the love of robotics and coding into the classroom and into the hands of students and educators. While it’s not the Star Wars-themed BB-8 that we reviewed a few weeks ago, what makes this unique is not only the transparent design that reveals its components but that you can create and save custom programs, such speed, spin, and colour.

If you do get tired of creating your own programs, the SPRK can simply be enabled to be in drive mode and around chasing your cat, dog, or family.

All you have to do to enter this contest is leave a comment below and let us know who you’d want this for and why. The contest is only open to Canadians and ends December 13th (just enough time to ship it out to you.)
