Mobilicity has a new $40/month plan that Rogers will honour after network switch

Mobilicity, which was recently purchased by Rogers, has a new back-to-school promo. Similar to its competitor Wind Mobile, Mobilicity is offering up a chance to “start the school year on the right foot” with its $40/month plan that includes unlimited talk, text and data.

Those interested must sign up on its automatic monthly payment option, and the full details include:

  • Unlimited Data
  • Canada-Wide Talk
  • North American Long Distance
  • Global Text (including Canada, obviously)
  • 30 Minutes North American Voice Roaming
  • Voicemail, Caller ID and Call Features

While the carrier is now completely owned by Rogers, Mobilicity is still operating on its own AWS towers. However, those interested might want to take advantage of the offer as it seems that Rogers will grandfather all Mobilicity plans once the network migration is completed.

In an email statement to us, Rogers confirmed that “Currently, Mobilicity customers are running on the existing Mobilicity towers/network. As we roll out the red carpet to welcome them to Rogers, we will switch Mobilicity sites over to the Rogers network, further improving our network and giving customers even greater access to fast, reliable service. All Mobilicity plans are being honoured.”
