The all-aluminum HTC One M8 was officially announced on March 25th and launched in Canada in April. According to an internal doc we received it shows that the flagship has been given the “end of life” status. The device had a 10-month lifespan, pretty typical for a smartphone these days, and company has committed to update it to Android 5.0 within the next couple weeks.
The One M8 being shelved only means a new HTC flagship is en route. Rumours suggest that the HTC “Hima” will be announced in March and is expected to come with a 5.0-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 810 with Adreno 430 graphics, 13MP front-facing camera, 20.7MP camera in the back, and 3GB of RAM.
