Canadian carriers start iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus pre-orders on September 12th, off-contract prices start at $749 CDN (Update)

Canadian carriers have begun advertising that they will sell the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus beginning on September 19th, with pre-orders beginning this Friday, September 12th.

Rogers, Fido, Bell, Virgin, TELUS, MTS and SaskTel are going to offer both models in all colours and memory capacities, and we’ll update those prices when we get them.

Off-contract prices are as follows, in Canadian dollars:

16GB:  $749
64GB: $859
128GB: $969

In comparison, the iPhone 5s was $719, $819 and $919 for the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models respectively. On contract, the 16GB iPhone 5s cost $229 with a two-year agreement. The 32GB and the 64GB model were $329 and $439 respectively.

Apple has eliminated the popular 32GB model this year.
