BlackBerry announced today that the early response to BBM Protected, its first product of its eBBM Suite, has “been fantastic.” Apparently customers in several sectors have been “expressing interest,” specifically in healthcare, finance and government expressing interest.
BBM Protected is free with the purchase of BES 10 and adds another layer of protection to your communication. BlackBerry stated that they are now on “phase 2 of the BBM Protected roll out, adding support for BlackBerry devices using Balance technology. This step allows BBM Protected to work in BYOD, Balance, and COPE (Corporate Owned, Personally Enabled) environments as well as COBO (Corporate Owned, Business Only).”
