Microsoft looking for OneNote beta testers on Android

OneNote

Microsoft hasn’t updated its OneNote for Android app since April, but today announced a beta program for the popular note-taking app. Like other Android betas, it is being managed on Google+, and once committed, overwrites the existing app on the Play Store.

The beta version isn’t a particularly big change from the existing app — Microsoft has added the ability to manage notebooks and sections and copy/paste from other applications into OneNote — but it could be an indication that more extensive test versions are on the horizon.

Microsoft recently launched a portal for users to sign up for test versions of its Office 365 apps, leading to speculation that Office for Android tablets would be launching in the near future. The company already has Office 365 versions for iPhone, Android and, earlier this year, made a version specifically for iPads.

To join the beta, join the OneNote for Android Beta Program community on Google+ and click “Become a tester.”
