Microsoft is hard at work preparing an Android tablet version of its Office suite, which will eventually be made available at no extra cost to its Office 365 subscribers.
The company has rolled out a portal for Office-related pre-release programs that potentially includes one for Android tablets. The company already has a version of Office for Android smartphones, but after releasing an iPad version that rivals its desktop software’s capabilities, hopes are high for an Android version of a similar calibre.
Office for Android tablets is expected to launch publicly later this year, so expect a pre-release version in the coming months.
