Apple has dramatically help create the ‘app economy.’ During WWDC 2013 they declared payments of $10 billion to developers, with an amazing $5 billion coming from the last year alone. Apple launched the App Store on July 10th, 2008 and is home to over 900,000 apps, with over 50 billion downloads. Tim Bradshaw, reporter for the Financial Times, received this poster from Apple that celebrates their short 5 years of life, noting every major milestone in each specific year.
