Rovio, makers of the popular Angry Birds series, has unleashed its first movie tie-in game on the world, The Croods. It’s a build-and-manage type game, similar to The Simpsons: Tapped Out, as you are tasked with the job of growing fruits and vegetables, tracking and hunting animals, and roaming around the prehistoric landscape as Grug, the leader of the tribe.
The game is free, and is available on both iOS and Android, but encourages the use of in-app spending by slowing down the build times of your various projects. The production values appear to be excellent, and the game has the potential to be fun, but the push towards buying in-game currency is a bit strong.
