L3, L5, L7 and now the L9. LG unveiled a new addition to their L-Series family of devices – the LG Optimus L9. The press release says this is a global launch but doesn’t give a release date, exact country availability, nor pricing. As for specs, the L9 is by far their best L-Series device as it comes with a 4.7 inch IPS display, dual-core 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 5MP camera, 2150mAh battery and runs Android OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. In addition, the L9 is only 9.1mm thin and has a “slimming metallic streak and modern square style.”
One of the highlighted features of to come in the L9 is LG’s “My Style Keypad” option. This gives the user the ability to somewhat customize the keyboard for one-handed typing. In landscape mode the virtual QWERTY keyboard cuts in half in the middle. In addition, LG has also included a new language translation app called QTranslator that translates your words 44 different languages into 64 native languages.
No word on if this will be coming to Canada.
