Bell releases the BlackBerry Torch 9860 and Curve 9360

What a couple weeks it’s been for RIM. The launch of several new BlackBerry devices, putting BlackBerry App World 3.0 into Beta testing, plus announcing a brand new revenue stream for BBM called “BBM Music”. Very busy and we’re hoping it all pays off for them.

Various Canadian carriers have released the BlackBerry Bold 9900, Torch 9810, Torch 9860 and Curve 9360 (Rogers, Bell, TELUS, SaskTel, Virgin and Koodo). Today, Bell has officially launched both the new BlackBerry Torch 9860 and the Curve 9360 a few days earlier than expected.

The Torch 9860 has a 3.7-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480, comes with BlackBerry 7 OS, a 5 megapixel camera with HD recording, 1.2GHz processor, Wi-Fi and the prices are the following: $599.95 no-term, 1-year is $574.95, 2-year is $549.95 and the 3-year is $129.95.

The Curve 9360 also has BlackBerry 7, 800 MHz processor, 5 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, 2.44-inch display and has an “ultra-thin design” at 11mm. It’s the low-cost entry level Berry and can be yours for these prices: $349.95 no-term, 1-year is $324.95, 2-year is $299.95 and the 3-year is $49.95.

Most likely these are only available online for now. Let us know if you’ve seen any at a Bell store.
