TELUS announced their Q4 and year end 2010 results this morning – and for the year ending December 31, 2010 they reached 6,971,000 subscribers (5,705,000 are Postpaid and 1,266,000 are Prepaid) this is up 6.9 % over 2009.
Specifically when it comes to Q4 results TELUS had:
– Total net subscriber additions of 119,000 “declined by 2.5% reflecting increased competition from new entrants”
– Breakdown of net subscriber additions: 109,000 (Postpaid) and 10,000 (Prepaid)
– Data revenue growth increased by $87 million or 36% to $326 million
– Blended ARPU (Average revenue per user) was $58.48 (increased by $1.10 or 1.9% compared to Q4 2009)
– Data ARPU was $16.01 (increase of $3.41 or 27% compared to Q4 2009)
– Voice ARPU was $42.47 (decrease of $2.31 or 5.2% compared to Q4 2009)
– Smartphones represented 46% of postpaid gross additions
– External wireless revenues increased by $113 million or 9.2% to $1.34 billion
