Fido has been relatively quiet over the past couple months, not much has happened with them except releasing a Prepaid internet stick. That’s about to change as rumours are pointing for this puppy to release their first Android-powered device. On deck is the Acer Liquid e which runs OS 2.1. Apparently training is starting early next week with the launch expected to be within the next few weeks. The price points are actually decent at $50 on a 3-year and $350 no-contract (Rogers currently has the Liquid e for sale at $29.99 on a 3-year and $424.99 no-contract).
When officially released it’ll become Fido’s best device. Quick specs of the Liquid e are that it has a 3.5-inch display, 768MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 5 megapixel camera with video capabilities, WiFi, full HTML browser, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, holds up to 32GB. Overall dimensions are 116×54×12.75mm with a weight of 135 grams.
